Founded in 1967, Strawberry Recording Studios was one of the first professional recording studios outside of London. Home to 10cc and studio of choice for numerous artists and producers, Strawberry was the 'studio of the North' and a key part of the development of Manchester music from the 1960s onwards. Sadly, Strawberry closed its doors in 1993, after a quarter of a century of recording excellence.
Strawberry 50, in Stockport Museum, is the first major exhibition to look at the Studio's history and to pay tribute to those other local recording studios that became part of Stockport's musical heritage.
